I give...

If you're a reader to my other blog...you will know that I just mentioned the fact that I start a lot of things and never finish them...

Now...I'm afraid this blog is one of them. With trying to spend more time in Photography, and doing it profesionally, I really don't have any time for the 365 blog. While I still take pictures pretty much daily, I don't have time to upload and post them daily. And apparently weekly either since its been longer than that since I last posted a daily shot.

So - I give.

I have decided to dedicate this site to my work instead. My thinking is if I do that, I will only need to update every session or two, which I MAY be a little better at. If you're a follower, please stayed tuned for more photography! If you're not a follower, please join for more photography! :)

Day 69 - Eggs, eggs, eggs!

Cody and Jordan came over Friday night to dye Easter eggs for Kyndall's basket. Dustin always has to be "different" so he over ruled my traditional dye kit, for a tie-die one, and a wave one. Wouldn't you know they didn't turn out the way the box looked?? Go figure. But there are some pretty neat ones. After the dust settled (literally, tons of glitter and dried up dye all over my table) I snapped a few pictures.

We have some "stuff" to "dress" them up a bit more, but we will leave that up to the Easter Bunny.

Day 68 - Galveston

While there is still a lot of working being done around the island, I was actually a little relieved that the damage wasn't what I expected it would be. There were several homes and buildings that you could tell were just never going to be back to use, and the ones that are gone and will be missed. Like the Hooters on the Seawall, or the little gift shops that used to be over the water. The city is rebuilding well.

Day 66 - Chynna's Peephole

A peephole in our backyard fence.

What exactly does this hole lead to you ask???

The run away evil dachshund.

Days 63-65

Here's a recap of the days I have missed so far in one post...

Day 63 - 4/5 - I got nothin'

Day 64 - 4/6 - Little big girl bed
We finally moved the mattress down and took the bumper off. Now it just looks so big and lonely.

Day 65 - 4/7 - Round and round
I was laying on the ground with Kyndall playing when I looked up and thought, that's kinda neat.

Day 62 - Laziness

Maybe not so much laziness, but lack of time.

See here for my Day 62 picture...Since it would be the same that I used for this blog.

Note to self: Pic was taken on 4/4

Day 61 - Looking through the Grass

I didn't have a chance to do much with these, so I'm thinking they are both pretty much SOOC.

OK - here are a few more from that day that I updated. It was a very spontaneous thing to set her down in the grass and take a few shots, so please excuse the oversized onesie!

Day 60 - Key

The topic of this weeks Inspire Me Thursday was Key.

These eyes have unlocked an overwhelming love in my heart, and a happiness that has consumed my body, mind, and soul. This little girl is the key in making me who I am as a mother, caregiver, and wife. I live for her.

Day 59 - Reappearing Binky

This disappeared a few days ago...and reappeared on the side of the road about a block from our house. Found it while on our walk. I swear there is a Binky Bandit in my house with the rate these things diappear. Well, maybe not considering Chynna had two in one day yesterday. At one time about a month ago we had 6...now we have 2. Fantastic.

Ladybug and Buttercup. Get it?

Day 57 - Warmth

I love the light from our living room lamps. It always seems so much warmer and comfortable than the big over head light or open blinds.

Day 56 - Fast like a Puma

Mini baby Puma's!!! Aren't they adorable?! These are on the feet of precious Reese Kinley Vasquez, Dustin's cousin's little girl. Wonder if they make her walk any faster???

Day 55 - Take Two

I started this monthly thing where every month, right around Kyndall's monthly birthday I dress her up in an outfit that probably won't fit her when its time for her to actually wear it, and have a "session". I took some yesterday, but wasn't completely satisfied so I had to grab a few more today. Below are some of my favorites from today, and here is a link to my Web Album for more. Really, maybe one day I will take some of other kids but my own.

By the way, she just started this little wrinkle her nose thing, and it gets us laughing every time!

Day 54 - By Accident

This was an accident. The framing of it wasn't, but the vignette (I think thats what its called) on the edges was. I do this from time to time and being that I am just learning, I have no idea how to do it on purpose. If anyone out there knows how to, please share! But, anyways. I love this picture.

Day 53 - Drama Queen

If you only had the chance to meet her, you would know, she's such a drama queen. So much more a person than I ever knew a dog could be. This look is just her way of showing how annoyed she is with me at times. She's 8 1/2 in "people" years, so like 56 in "dog" years, a senior citizen. But instead of joining DAARP (Doggie AARP)...she's gonna keep with the thought of "your only as old as you feel". And from her "I rule, and that's all that matters attitude", I would say she's still about 15. Doggie years.

Day 51 - Cousins

I had a last minute call to babysit for an hour, which I gladly accepted...

Of course, I had to take the opportunity to get some pictures of the two cousins!

He offered to help all on his own! Sweet boy.

He must think she's crazy.

It cracks me up how he has the same expression in every picture, not even cracking a smile. And my little Nut is just having a ball!
Here is one of him saying "cheese!"

Day 48 - Sweet Delight

While I was pregnant, one of my few cravings was caramel...but not just ANY old caramel off the street. It HAD to be the caramel from Starbucks. Which is why my other craving was their caramel machiatto with extra caramel. Every few days the Barista would make it just right so that there was a rich and thick layer of caramel on the bottom of the cup, which meant there was a gob of caramel in every sip...So delightful. :) I am now spoiled on their caramel, and only their caramel. While I have always been a fan of the treat in itself, I'm telling you, I never knew what true caramel love was until I bought a bottle, brought it home, and put it on ice cream. Then apples. Then cookies. And sometimes I dare to eat it just straight out of the bottle.

Day 45 - Love at Sight Unseen

For my wedding, I was passed down my Grandma's China that she received for her 25th anniversary. I hadn't seen it before, but once I did, I fell in love. During the short time that we spent looking at china and trying to pick out a set, I had decided that I wanted something simple, yet elegant, and classic. Which, to me, anything black and white is all of the above. I basically picked out my grandma's china, without even knowing...I guess you could say love at sight unseen.

They have now been married over 60 years (I think...) and I can just hope that this will be the charm that will give Dustin and I the happiness, longevity, and deeply unconditional love that they have had...and shared with their children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren. And of course I would love to pass that down to Kyndall, along with the set of her Great-Grandma's China.

Day 44 - The "Pretty" Duckling

We went to the lake today and feed the ducks...this was the only one in the whole bunch that was just black and white. Very pretty.
