I have been neglecting my blog a bit the past week or so, but its not the only thing that's seemed to slip my mind...

Day 24 - Ship out of Water

Yeah...its been a few days...so I just skipped over 22 and 23. I actually didn't take any pictures on those days, wow!

There is this boat...that is just in a field behind our neighborhood. It's been there since we moved in, almost 5 years ago...the oddest thing. I've been wanting a picture of it for a while now because its so out of place.

Day 21 - The Beauty in Fear

These "flowers" cover our yard, they are kind of mixed in with all the clover and rest of the weeds that's beat the grass back after the winter. I am always so scared of these flowers, and never really got close to them because where they are, bees are. And I have a huge, and horrible fear of bees that can only come from all of the stings I had while growing up. I didn't see any around and took a chance, and a few pictures of these "flowers". Turns out, they are a lot prettier than I ever thought, being that I never really got to close to them for fear of the bees.

Day 20 - Focus

So, there's this blog I read, and there is a challenge for today. To capture what's bothering you, and let it go. It's been a couple of trying days for me... I decided to "focus" on the good, and let the bad go.

Day 18 - Eatable cards

Here is a picture from Valentine's Day (acutally the day before). Kyndall is enjoying (litterally) her Valentine's Card and gift from Grandma.

Days 15 - 17...playing catch up!

Day 15 - negative ghostwriter (or is it ghostrider?) the pattern is full...

Day 16 - Focus
I have recently started "reading" my owners manual to my camera hoping that it will help me figure things out a little better (3 years later). This was just me playing with the focus.

Day 17 - Rain? Seriously???

Days 12-14 - Slacking...

I've been slacking a bit with getting the pictures posted, and taking them really. Well, I've been taking them, but they have really been more just for my documentation then attempt at photography. The first two were just my attempts at trying something abstract, and to be creative...and the last is a picture of Kyndall in her new toy...only because I didn't take much of anything else that day. Seems like we've been really busy the past week for some reason.

Any guesses what the first two are?

Day 15 - Back to the baby

More pics of the baby... :) Another busy day...and another shot that I have been trying to get for a while now. The cute bald spot on the back of her head.

Day 14 - From my porch

I am really trying to challenge myself to post pictures on here that aren't just of our family, and to find things that normally wouldn't make sense for me to take pictures of and use those as well. I couldn't go far today, and I had a few guiet moments so I just sat on the porch and looked around at what might work...And I actually too these with my manual focus! I'm so proud of myself! (well, accept for the ice cream truck.)

Day 11-13 - where did the days go?!

So, I really have no idea where I am at on my pictures because its been a few days! I did take some on Monday and yesterday, however I was feeling under the weather today, and when I wasn't trying really hard to do nothing on the couch, I busy running around town forgetting to buy toilet paper...so I didn't get a chance to stop and take pics.

This little fella is my lifesaver when Kyndall is freaking out for something to gnaw on...the little yellow wing even has "soothing vibrations". Just wanted to take a quick shot to show her when she's dealing with her own teething tot! By then I bet they will have a vaccination for teething or some kind of med to make it smooth and easy!

She *used to* hardly fuss...but the past week we've have tummy problems and teeth problems, so...she's been a mess. This was when she was in one of her moods where nothing, not even her soft pink puppy (that she's laying on) would make her happy. I don't have many pictures of her upset, so I had to take advantage!

And...this is pretty much the eyelash shot I'd been looking for! Although the lighting could have been tad better...but I'll take it!

Day 10 - The Past

I was sitting at the computer late last night, thinking about how I didn't have anything to post for the day when I looked up and saw this...its a plant that I used to have at my desk at work. It was actually given to me by another co-worker who left the bank over a year ago, if not longer. I left it behind when I left, and never really cared or wanted it at home. Needless to say it arrived by courier a few days later, along with some more of the things left behind that I really didn't see a need to bring home...I still really don't want it here, mostly because it reminds my of my job, and how unhappy I was. But it also reminds me of how although my teething tot is REALLY trying me right now, its SO worth it, and I am happier than I have ever been. How although that was only a few weeks ago, it was the past...and how my future at home with my daughter and my husband is so much brighter.

Side note: I wasn't really sure how to adjust the focus for it, so I just snapped a quick picture. It's a little more about the meaning than the quality...

Day 9 - Those eyes...

...have had me by the heart since the first time I looked into them.

I'd been trying to capture those gorgeous eyelashes that I am so jealous of for some time now...these were a few attempts at it. And while they aren't what I was initially looking for, I kinda like how they turned out.

I''m a few days late on posting...but these really were taken on Saturday. ;)
